Youth, Apprentice & Family Hunter Program

On Hold Due to Covid,

This event is for future sportsmen and sportswomen, including novice adults.

Participants learn the elements of:

  • Woodsmanship

  • Marksmanship

  • Indigenous game species identification and anatomy

  • Tracking

  • Blood trailing

  • Field care for trophy and meat for processing 

  • Firearm and hunting safety. 

 

Participants may reach minimum proficiency.

Levels through on-rain instruction in the following areas:

  • Shotgun

  • Rimfire (CMP proficiency level)

  • Muzzleloader/blackpowder

  • High power rifle

  • Archery

  • Crossbow

 

  The Program is FREE but participants

    must be REGISTERED in advance.

 

In conjunction with the KDFWR, we will also offer

the hunter education and on-range instruction for the

hunter education and safety course

for those who need their orange cards.
