Youth, Apprentice & Family Hunter Program

This event is for future sportsmen and sportswomen, including novice adults.
Participants learn the elements of:

Woodsmanship
-
Marksmanship
-
Indigenous game species identification and anatomy
-
Tracking
-
Blood trailing
-
Field care for trophy and meat for processing
-
Firearm and hunting safety.
Participants may reach minimum proficiency.
Levels through on-rain instruction in the following areas:
-
Shotgun
-
Rimfire (CMP proficiency level)
-
Muzzleloader/blackpowder
-
High power rifle
-
Archery
-
Crossbow
The Program is FREE but participants
must be REGISTERED in advance.
In conjunction with the KDFWR, we will also offer
the hunter education and on-range instruction for the
hunter education and safety course
for those who need their orange cards.

Indicate that you need your Hunter Orange Card and go to one of these links to register for the Hunter Orange Card program.

Start the Online Course at one of these sites (complete at least a week prior to the event):

• Either course takes most participants about 8 hours
• Either course can be done in segments -
Bring proof of this course completion to the event.
